Why We Love This Watch

The Omega Seamaster was launched in 1948 in celebration of Omega’s 100th anniversary. These watches would instantly prove to be a classic, being Omega’s best seller for years to come. The collection initially began as a cross between a dress watch and a diver — looking sleek and dressy while proving to be hardy. Over the course of history, the Seamaster has received many iterations, the dressier, Seamaster Deville and a dedicated dive watch with the Seamaster 300 among others. Today, the Seamaster is most well-known as the James Bond watch — a rugged, reliable watch for the manly man. On the other hand, vintage Seamasters are seen to be watches for the refined gentleman who pulled his watch out from the closet for special dinner parties. The history, build quality, and the aesthetic on these Omega’s are undeniably great. And at relatively affordable prices, these watches represent tremendous value — making them a highly recommended piece for anyone looking to start their vintage collection.
