Why We Love This Watch

While most Rolexes nowadays sport mercedes hands and fluted bezels, there was a time when Rolex loved exploring different design elements for their pieces, and this Ref. 1603 is a testament to their pursuit of creativity. Subtle in its presentation, this piece is host to quite a few eccentricities you won't see in modern Rolex designs anymore: an engine turned bezel with fine details and alpha hands, a departure from the baton hands we usually encounter. If today's Rolexes seem all common, then look no further than this fine timepiece.
